Branson, MO – 4/25-26/2017

April 25-26, 2017 (Tuesday and Wednesday)

The weather has been HORRIBLE. Terrible thunder and lightening that felt like it was right over our heads. Scary loud, constant and bright.

We spent Tuesday at Walmart (putting in a prescription) and a timeshare presentation. Tuesday’s presentation was for the place we’re staying. The main name is “Summerwinds.” We had a real nice lady (forgot her name) who worked there along with her husband and brother. Must be a good job. She said she’s worked with this company for awhile and loves it. She said eight out of ten people will buy, which we found hard to believe.

Presentation at Summerwinds.  We are getting older, wearing out a bit and the offers just don’t sound as good as they used too.

Another thing we found hard to believe was the fact that she said you don’t have to pay maintenance fees unless you use this particular property.  Lots of things didn’t make sense to us and sounded like it was too good to be true (aka not true). We passed and got our goodies ($100.00 and some tickets to see the Haygoods).

As we were leaving to get our goodies, we were directed to a young man across the room from where we got our goodies. When we got there, the young man talked us into going to another vacation resort presentation. He promised absolutely no one on one sit downs, just a room full of people and one presenter. For another $100.00 and a hotel certificate, we said yes (or I said yes as Michael was outside on the telephone).

The vacation resort presentation was scheduled for Wednesday morning. We realized when we got there that we had done this presentation before about 4 years ago and almost bought but it didn’t allow enough weeks for use. When we got to the group room, we did have a one on one with an 85 year old man who looked really rough. He said he would do this until he died as he enjoyed it and needed to be doing something. God bless him. Anyway, it only lasted an hour and we were out of there. Still doesn’t have enough weeks for what we need (even though we are slowing way down due to a new grand baby coming).

Roark presentation. Did not tempt us.

After the presentation we went to the nearby bank and cashed the checks we were given, then went to Walmart to pick up the medication.

That was our time. Hope yours was great!
