Lazy day until around 11:00 AM, when we decided to go for a hike before the storm hits. As we were driving down the street, I saw something gold in the distance so I asked Michael to turn left and go see what it was. Turned out it was the steeple of a Catholic Church. Pretty. But the best part was we got to see a mama deer with her two young ones running in a field. The deer had the biggest ears I’ve seen. So cute.

We left and went a little further down the road to the Lake in the Woods trail, about a mile hike. The starting and ending point is near a covered bridge and it winds around a little lake. So pretty and peaceful. Michael and I both loved the smell of the pines. Lots of people and lots of dogs on the trail.

Nice little bridge, reminded us of the one across the Truckee River in Reno.

Abert squirrel, Edie wanted to take one home. So cute.

We decided to head on out to Show Low to get our hair cut. We found a Super Cuts and got the senior discount. Michael now looks very handsome. He said he wanted to just put it in a ponytail or a man bun. I didn’t even find it funny because I know that’s what he’d really like to do. Next door to the Super Cuts was a Firehouse Subs, so we decided to get a couple of sandwiches and take them home as it was getting cold and wet.

They numbered their sauces by the hotness on the tongue.

We got back to our home, had our linner, and had our Sunday evening date night watching “Poldark.” That was our day. Hope yours was great!
