Running Y, Oregon to Sacramento, California – 8/13/2015

One night was not nearly enough at the Running Y.  We left, found an odd cafe for breakfast and made our way to Sacramento.

A stuffed Giraffe, really put me off my breakfast. It really belongs on the plains of Africa, not here.

Edie got us a free room, using Wyndham points, at a Hawthorne Inn and Suites.  It was fun staying there because it brought back so many memories of times spent in Sacramento when I was working.  Whenever I could I took Edie and the kids.  We were sad to learn that many of our favorite eating places were closed down, like the Hungry Hunter and the Rusty Duck.

We had dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory and called it a day.  We left the next morning for Aptos – where we house and dog sat for the daughter of our friend Bonnie.  We hope you have a wonderful day.
