We were supposed to take the 10:30 AM ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. Turns out the 10:30 AM ferry was the one coming back from Victoria. The reservation was for the same 12:30 PM ferry as Larry and Renee, and Jim and Anna. Our mistake turned out to be great fun. We had gotten to the ferry building so early that we were one of the very first in line to get our car on the ferry. We ended up walking around the area of Port Angeles and even checked out a local farmer’s market and some antique stores.

Jim and Anna were having breakfast near the ferry so we stopped in and joined them at their table for a quick visit. The ferry ride itself was so much more enjoyable with all of us there laughing and sharing stories. The trip went really fast and we were all pretty surprised at how quickly we arrived in Victoria.

After getting off the ship (around 2:30 PM), we went to the Worldmark to see if our room was ready.  Jim and Anna went to their hotel (after dropping off Larry and Renee).   This Worldmark is pretty consistent in that you can’t check in before 4:00 PM. While Renee and I waited in the lobby with some bags for the room, Michael and Larry went to the local store to get some things for dinner and for the week here. It was almost 4:30 PM before we were able to get into our room. For having to wait so long, we were given two DVD rental vouchers.

The boys got back and we unloaded into the room.
