April 12, 2015 (Sunday)
Beautiful sunshine day but we decided to be lazy. Well, I should say I decided to be lazy. Michael worked on the taxes, poor thing. He also made breakfast – oatmeal, coffee, orange juice.
Early in the afternoon Michael decided we needed a printer to finish up the taxes. We looked on Craigslist and tried to get a couple in the area, but no one answered back. Michael got on line and looked at Walmart and saw one he wanted so we went down the street (about 3 miles) to the Walmart. While there he put in his prescription, we got a few more groceries we needed, got paper for the printer, and envelopes to mail the taxes. On the way back home we stopped at the Albertson’s Supermarket and Michael got some more of the delicious chicken breasts they have there. He thinks they’re better than Cracker Barrel, I disagree but they’re close.
As we were leaving to go to Walmart, we talked to some people who had just gotten off the narrow gauge steam train (right behind the Wyndham Durango resort). I asked if it was worth it and they said they enjoyed it but the train didn’t go all the way to Silverton and it would be better in the summer. I think we’ll not be doing the train, just looking at it out the window as it looks really cool.
When we got back “home,” I made a huge salad. The kind where you put everything but the kitchen sink into it. We call them garbage salads. Pretty good and filling. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
