Cheyenne, Wyoming to Denver, Colorado – 4/8/2015
The Great Seal....

April 8, 2015 (Wednesday)

Got up and out of our room by 9:30 AM. We walked next door to Penny’s Diner to check-out and also get our included breakfast. When we checked in (at the diner) yesterday, we were given a voucher for breakfast. We were also told we could use the voucher and get something like $8.00 off on something else. We ended up paying $3.11 for our breakfasts.

We left around 10:15 AM and headed a few miles away to the Wyoming State Capitol building. Beautiful building but not nearly as ornate as the one we saw in Wisconsin. Very modest and humble. We went inside and looked around then walked around the grounds. The grounds have some absolutely beautiful statues and other interesting things to see.

We left and drove to the Denver area. The drive was about an hour and a half (approximately 100 miles). Michael had researched and found an Urgent Care place where he could go. We plugged that address into our GPS and headed in that direction. Once we got into Colorado, I think we were both surprised at the amount of litter we saw alongside the road. When I picture Colorado, I picture clean and beautiful. Also, the roads are horrible. Not sure if it’s the weather or just bad roads.  Seemed like road construction was going on all over the place.

We got to the urgent care place and Michael was able to get in to see the doctor pretty quickly, in and out within about an hour.  I think that’s a record for us and Urgent Care facilities.  The office itself was very nice, as were the staff.

We drove to our hotel but it took a little while because the traffic was backed up due to construction. We saw the Denver Capitol building and are thinking we want to go there tomorrow. We also saw the Sports Authority Mile High Stadium, went online and saw they aren’t doing tours until May. Would have enjoyed a tour there. Maybe next time?

We got to our room and just relaxed awhile before Michael walked a couple blocks away to a Panera Bread restaurant and brought our dinner back to the room.

I called and the company providing service said it was out and they would make a repair ticket. Then they asked if I'd be there all week. I told them no.

They kindly moved us to another building when we asked the next morning. I got net there.
