Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin – 4/2/2015
We went looking for the river walk.

April 2, 2015 (Thursday)

Woke up to gray skies and a little cooler day. Was really hoping for another beautiful day like yesterday. Oh well, we’ll still have fun. Michael said he had to get up in the middle of the night and take some medication for his gout. He did so enjoy the steak until the pain started, then decided it wasn’t worth it. I think he was a little surprised at how fast the gout acted up after cheating.

We got up and did our usual morning thing – cereal, coffee, television. We left our “home” around 11:00 AM and went to the Starbucks to work on the computer. The internet at the Starbucks is a little faster than at the activities center. We worked on the blog and went through our mail until around 2:00 PM. Around 2:00 PM, we left and went to the Wilderness Resort to use our moola money we got on our timeshare presentation. The paperwork they gave us said it could be used in restaurants and stores at the resort.

We wanted to go to a cafe inside the resort, but when we got there it was closed until 5:00 PM. We then asked another restaurant, Tommy Knockers, if they accepted the vouchers and we were told yes but they didn’t give back any change. Worked for us. Michael ordered a broasted chicken and I ordered an open face meatloaf sandwich. Pretty good. We ended up paying, out of our pocket and including tip, $10.41. While we were eating, we asked the server about the River Walk. She gave us excellent directions of where to go and where to park.

We headed to the River Walk area to take a look around. We drove the length of the walk and over a cute little bridge. Then we went into a parking lot behind the DQ on the main drag. We parked and Michael got out to take a little look around. He said there wasn’t much more than what we saw already. Glad I stayed in the car and stayed warm.

We got home and rested a little bit, then I started working on the costs for the last few months. Michael left and went to the activities center to work on the blog for awhile. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
