March 15, 2015

Pretty much a lazy day for us. Weather is holding, in the 50’s and no rain. We slept in (me more than Michael), had our usual breakfast (coffee and cereal) and just lazed around. We missed having internet but….

We left in the afternoon and went into Ottowa (about fifteen miles away) to go to the Cracker Barrel for their Sunday chicken dinner special, which Michael and I both ordered. It is so delicious.  They start with a boneless, skinless breast, and I think they must double or triple dip the chicken in batter, because it is so crispy and wonderful. After Cracker Barrel we went to a nearby Walmart and did some grocery shopping.

Sundays, so good.

On the way back from Ottowa, we stopped by the activity center and worked on the computer. I just happened to look at Groupon (don’t know why we haven’t used it before) and saw some things to do in Chicago. We ordered a Groupon for a tour of the Frank Lloyd Wright house in Oak Park, Illinois (two tickets for $17.00, normally $17.00 each); and a van tour for two for $39.00 (originally $80.00).

That was our day. Hope yours was great!

Mike here, so disappointed at not having caught up sooner. Family worries and poor or no wifi has been the problem. Next week we are in Wisconsin and I fully intend to get all the way caught up there. The only side thing we really want to do is tour the Green Bay stadium.
