At Sea – 2/22/2015

FEBRUARY 22, 2015 (Sunday)

Today was an at sea day. We had stayed up late last night so we slept in until about 9:00 AM. When we looked out the window, it was overcast (again) and no land to be seen. At least the waves weren’t very big and the boat was just gently swaying. When we finally did get up and moving, it was around noon.

We headed to the Grand Pacific for lunch. We shared the table with two nice ladies from Oklahoma. Was fun talking to them. The food and service was good. While we were sitting having lunch, we saw Helga and Dennis pass by so after we ate we sat with them for a few minutes and then we went to the 2:30 PM show with the crew, which was really very good. Archie (the Cruise Director) said it was a mistake in that at a crew party they saw the talent and decided to put on a show. Glad they did.

After the show Michael and I went back to our room and took a little rest. Around 5:30 PM, we called the kids. We hadn’t been able to get ahold of Aaron so we were getting worried. We finally heard his voice and know he’s alive and well. After talking to the kids we went to the Grand Pacific to meet Helga and Dennis for dinner. Great and interesting food. Again this evening a main person asked how everything was. Glad they’re doing that.

After dinner we went to the show at the Stardust Theater. It was a Spanish dance group of four (three women and one man) who went full force for forty-five minutes. They were great and did many costume changes and each time the costumes got prettier and prettier. Really good show and we all enjoyed it. On our way to our room from the Stardust, we stopped at the Medusa Lounge and watched the people dancing. So many good dancers. Love it. Michael and I have decided we want to take dance lessons. Will be good exercise and good for us (plus it’s fun).
