JANUARY 1, 2015 (Thursday)

Can’t believe another year has passed. Life is going by too quickly. Carpe Diem!

Anyway, we’ve been so lazy and comfortable here. Also, the weather has been overcast, raining and depressing. I’m hating even getting dressed, even though I did today for about ten minutes then decided to go back into my jammies. Michael did venture out to get a couple things from the store. When he got back he made a really wonderful “traditional” New Year’s Day dinner of black eye beans, cornbread, and a salad. Yummy.

I can hear the helicopter but I can't see it.

Every time I go to Publix I see and hear these helicopters taking off nearby. I suspect they are helicopter tours of Disney World.

I think Disney World is in that direction.

It is a huge store and nice.

The traffic is still a zoo here. School starts back on the 5th and we the traffic and congestion will clear out then.

We watched the Oregon Ducks and Florida Seminoles play. Felt bad for the Florida team. We were good and didn’t go out and yell or anything. (I think we were afraid for our safety and that our car would get damaged if we did.) We tried to watch the Ohio and Alabama game but at 1:30 AM, we gave it up and decided we’d see who won in the morning.

Mike here. I am not getting any traction on this complaint. This is a wonderful resort, except the bed has flat sheets, not fitted. So we wake up and the bottom sheet and mattress pad are loose and lumped up under us and we wake up cussing the bed. When we first got here and crawled into bed we thought it was wonderful. After the first night, aghhhhhh! Why is life so hard? Will no one hear my misery?

Hate waking up in the night with lumpy pad and sheets below me.

No fitted sheets! We spend at least 8 hours a day here! The accountants won over the concierge.

That was our day. Hope yours was great!
