Free breakfast today, compliments of Barefootn the Keys Resort. Bagels and coffee were pretty good. After breakfast we decided to mail a few things home. The closest Post Office was in Celebration and so we went over there again. Still a beautiful community.
The post office in Celebration turned out to be the closest to our resort. Edie was mailing some little gifts to the kids.While waiting on Edie at the Post Office, I drove around. The water features have water features.I stopped on a bridge and saw the great old car in the distance.Near the Post Office, still waiting and the decorations seemed to have grown since yesterday.
After taking care of that we went to the Millenia Mall in search of a money belt for our trip to the Mediterranean. We were not lucky but had a nice walk from one end of the monster mall to the other. When we left and were driving back home, Edie told me I was going deaf. I muttered that at least I wouldn’t have to listen to her criticisms much longer. We laughed at one another.
We drove to Millenia Mall in search of an around the waist money belt for passports and such.Nice waterfall.Thought we were on the ground floor and turns out we entered on the second floor.It is a grand mall with really nice decorations.
I liked the stairs.The stairs looked good from both sides.Apple store we went to last year.We looked for directories and couldn’t find them. These things were everywhere you’d expect a directory to be. We finally took out one of the pamphlets and discovered a printed directory.A Christmas fort hiding Santa for the photo sessions.
Lots of sparkly stuff everywhere.Edie loved these trees.After I photographed the two I realized they were all over the store.They have a beautiful butterfly display above the escalator.I liked this thing, constantly rotating and powered by light.Edie wants me to make these out of the eucalyptus on our property.
Walking through the mall, she spotted this watch and declared that she wanted it. I briefly considered getting it for her.Until I looked up and realized we were at a Rolex store,…uhh, no.She wanted the bling filled one for me. I told her I did not want a year’s worth of salary on my wrist that could be yours if you knock me on the head and take it.There is just something wonderful about the sound of running water on rocks, something primeval and comforting.Lots of nice decorations.Drop box for Santa!
We stopped at a Publix near our place and picked up a few things. Went home and had a nice big salad for linner. We then lazed around for an hour or two and went walking to an amusement park kind of place about a block away from us.
We picked up a few items for our salad tonight.
We went in several of the stores and did get a few things for the kids. Then we stumbled on a group putting out a pretty good sound called “The Dukes.” Edie ended up dancing with a woman. We talked to different folks and had a good time. There was even a small car show going on there. It was dark and getting cold and we walked back home.
Outside a bar to be sung to the tune, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.”Turned out to be my favorite store.This is a block away from our resort.Reminds me of my old work.We came across a happening group called “The Dukes.” They were really good. They had canned music that they karaoked too and it really got the crowd dancing.This lady wanted to dance so bad that Edie joined her.There was a car show too.I asked the owner if this came with a 427 and he said, “No, I put that in.”
Lots of nice old and not old cars. All the owners were watching me, I knew I’d hurt their feelings if I didn’t photograph their car.
So I got them all.
Jean on the left. Met her earlier and she shared tips for touring Puerto Rico from the cruise ship (she had been there last week).
