Hunger Games, Kissimmee, Florida – 12/9/2014

DECEMBER 9, 2014 (Tuesday)

Got up and it wasn’t raining. Yahoo. Kinda cold for Florida though (low 60’s). Michael made us breakfast and we sat around and made some phone calls and did some work that needed to be done.

Around 1:00 PM, we left to go try to go to the movies. We decided on a Regal Theater in Kissimmee. The GPS took us on the toll road ($2.00 each way). The theater was in a nice mall. “Mockingjay” started at 2:00 PM (cost $9.50 per person). By the time we each went to the bathroom, the theater door was open and we went inside. There were so many movie trailers (at least eight) for upcoming movies. Finally the feature film started. Was really good but left you wanting. I guess they did their job and you’ll have to see the next one.

This is right next door and we thought part of our resort, but it is tied to a Raddison resort.

We saw the Hunger Games. Good fantasy story, looking forward to part 2.

We left and went across the parking lot to the Chili’s Restaurant to have linner. We decided on the two for $20.00. We got an appetizer (guacamole and chips) and Michael got fajitas and I got a mango chicken. Very good but kinda spicy. I was glad I asked the server to put everything to the side. Chili’s Restaurant had a cool new thing going on where you could order and pay at the table with a little computer thing. On the computer thing you could also play games while you were waiting. Was fun. Service was excellent and the food was really good.

Next was TJ Maxx, just around the corner. I have had a credit with them for a year. Our area of the Monterey Peninsula doesn’t have any so the credit has been sitting in my purse. I got some nylons but still have a little credit left. Michael couldn’t hang with the shopping so went out to the car to talk to the kids while I shopped.

I was only good for about 15 minutes, went to the car and called the kids.

We are now home.  We realized that we can see (and hear) the fireworks at Walt Disney World out our bedroom window.  Very cool.

That was our day. Hope yours was great!
