Mike here. We woke to blue skies, warming temperatures and headed out to see Brad and Dottie. We slept through the free breakfast at the Quality Inn and so felt we had no choice but to head back to the Cracker Barrel for breakfast. It was excellent. Edie started to order us a parfait and fruit meal and I made my best dog face; she weakened and we each got the pig-o-special.
One of our favorites and dinner was so good we decided to have breakfast here.We couldn’t eat it all. It sure was good though.It was way too much food. Edie asked the waiter when Cracker Barrel was coming to California. He said he heard that because California makes you put the calories on the menu, Cracker Barrel doesn’t want to come to California.
After breakfast we bought a apple pecan pie to take to our friends. We didn’t want to show up with just: “a hand full of gimmie and a mouth full of much abliged.” The pie was still warm from baking. We topped off on gas.

It was about a 3 hour drive to Brad and Dottie’s home.

Dotty waving good bye, The lights on the garage were very nice looking. Brad was hollering goodbye as he took down his Americal Flag that flies everyday from a large flag pole in the corner of his property.
We got a room in Mesa, Arizona, it was about a 60 mile drive from Brad and Dottie’s place. A comfortable Courtyard.
