Visalia, California to Kingman, Arizona – 11/21/2014

November 21, 2014 (Friday)

Mike here.  We left George and Mary at the restaurant and headed south to Bakersfield, went east and climbed out of the central valley and across south eastern California.  Going through Tulare, we just had to hop off the freeway and check out two homes we used to own, the two different times we lived there.

We once owned this house in Tulare, one of Edie's and my favorites. Has a great pool, 5 bedroom, 3 bath, cathedral ceilings in the great room. We had fun there.

Our home the second time in Tulare, nice but no pool.

We climbed out of the fog and grey of the central valley and enjoyed the sun and blue sky of the high desert.

It was dark when we got into Kingman. We found a Cracker Barrel, couldn’t resist, had big salads for dinner and got a peach cobbler to go (which we split after we got to our room).

We pulled into a McDonald’s and tied into their free wifi, Pricelined a room and got a Quality Inn on Andy Devine Blvd. It was an okay room, comfortable enough for a night’s sleep.

Okay beds.
