Prunedale, California to Visalia, California – 11/20/2014
NOVEMBER 20, 2014 (Thursday)
We left the place ready for the next guests and drove to Visalia, California to see Michael’s former boss and good friend George and his wife Mary. (Visalia is about a three hour drive from Prunedale.) George and Michael ran Corcoran Prison during a very difficult time. They bonded during the inmate wars/political wars/activist wars and the general enormity of a huge prison with an acute care hospital, protective housing unit, aids unit, maximum security section and on and on.
We shared a wonderful meal, great conversation and Michael and George reminisced and laughed and talked about how they should write a book. We spent the night in their lovely home and went to a great little place for breakfast.
Off to outside Pheonix to visit a high school and college friend of Michael’s. That was our day, hope yours was great.
