West Yellowstone, Montana – 11/11/2014
NOVEMBER 11, 2014 (Tuesday) Thank you Veterans.
Snowed again. We just lazed around until around noon. The sky was brilliant blue and it looked so nice out, we decided to get out in it and explore a little. We didn’t want to go very far because we’re a little afraid of ice. Since it’s still so cold (around 5 degrees with a high of 10), we didn’t want to chance it. Our little Prius was very cold and unhappy. One of the computers is frozen but we’re hopeful it will thaw out and be okay.
We drove around West Yellowstone a little bit. We went over to see what was playing at the local theater. It was something we felt was for little kids. Then we just drove around. We did go into a local tour company and asked about snow tours into the park. They said they didn’t have anything until December. Bummer. It was nice to get out, even as cold as it was.
We got back to our home and went to the swimming pool and hot tub. So nice to be walking around in our swim gear and never have to go outside. Even the hallway to the pool is heated while you’re looking out on all the snow. The bottoms of the doors in the pool house had ice on them but it was toasty warm. Very nice pool area with two hot tubs, a large heated pool, and a wading pool for the kids. They also had a cubby area and lockers for all your stuff (if you wanted or needed). Was nice to do laps and then slip into the hot tub and relax. Really enjoyed it.
We went back to our home and had dinner. I had made Lexi’s favorite dish, pork chops with potatoes, beans, and rolls. Very yummy. We were so full we didn’t have room for the peach cobbler and ice cream. That will have to wait until tomorrow but I know it’s not going to go to waste.
That was our relaxing day. Hope yours was great.
