August 21st & 22nd, 2014 (Thursday and Friday)

 

It has been a quiet two days here.  We had some dear friends over for dinner, Lex cooked, Edie and I ate and visited and enjoyed.

We got all caught up and had an excellent visit.  On Friday, we had plans to go watch the whales in Carmel.  We had heard they were breaching really close to shore near Carmel Beach, but Direct TV took longer than we expected to hook up our new service.  We had Charter cable, but because we are in the country the offering was very limited, with spotty reliability and kind of expensive.  For just a few dollars more a month we signed up with Direct TV and get much better reception, lots more channels and premium channels if we choose.

That was our day, hope yours was great.
