AUGUST 13, 2014 (Wednesday)

Michael and Johnny went out to breakfast, and then after breakfast Michael went over to visit a high school friend for a very short visit.

We were on the road at 11:30 AM. We took the road from Eugene over to Crater Lake. Beautiful drive (even though I slept a little). Crater Lake is just lovely. So glad we got to go and see it again. There was still snow! Very cold and rainy but still gorgeous. Lots and lots of people.

We drove out another way to Medford. It was lovely. Michael told me I missed the best parts because I was sleeping again. Bummer. We’ll have to do it again so I can see it and take pictures. Michael was too careful to try to take pictures and drive, thank goodness. (The total drive time from Keizer to Medford was about 5 hours.)

We got to the hotel at around 5:30 PM. It’s very old but clean. The bed is comfortable. After we checked in and unloaded, we drove around a little bit looking for a place to eat. The downtown area of Medford is old and really cute. Lots of little brewery type places and cute little cafes. We ended up going to a Mexican place called La Tequila. Very lovely and really good food.

We got back to the room and I crashed (again). Michael stayed up and watched some tv. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
