Wilsonville, Oregon -7/31/2014
JULY 31, 2014 (Thursday)
Was hot last night. We slept on top of the blankets with the window open and the fan going full blast.
Got up and out of the house around 10:00 AM. We headed over to Keizer Station to get haircuts. We were put on a waiting list so we walked next door to the Verizon Store and they showed Michael how to turn off all the data things for when we go to Canada. We walked back and got our hair cuts (we are now cute). After that we drove over to the Ross store and got a few things. Love Oregon and no sales tax!
We had called Ellen and Brad (Michael’s sister and her husband) and they wanted us to come over to their home in Wilsonville for a visit and lunch. We got there around 1:00 PM.
Ellen, as usual, had made an incredible spread for lunch that was so delicious. Loved it. We got such a nice visit in with them. They have the cutest little dachshund named Harvey.
Michael and I have decided to leave in the morning and go up to Aberdeen to spend the night before driving to Forks, Washington (where they filmed Twilight) and then on to Port Angeles to catch the ferry. Sounds like it should be a beautiful drive. We’re looking forward to it.
We stopped at the local Dairy Queen on the way back to Johnny’s house. Michael got a salad and I got a blizzard (yummy banana split).
That was our day. Hope yours was great!
