Medford, Oregon to Keizer, Oregon – 7/30/2014

JULY 30, 2014 (Wednesday)

Woke up to beautiful weather (again). We opted not to have the breakfast in the hotel and went across the street to Elmer’s Restaurant. Good but spendy. Michael had blueberry pancakes, eggs and sausage. I had an omelette, hash browns and a muffin. We both had coffee. Very good but neither of us could eat it all.

We hit the road and headed North. We went by Roseburg, and it always brings back some memories of when I was in the in 7th or 8th grade. We lived in Roseburg and we would swim in the Umpqua River, which was only a couple of blocks from our house. Memories. Michael and I also rocked out for a little bit to the 60’s music station.

We were hoping to find a car wash and vacuum for the Prius. They didn’t have one so we stopped at John’s Car Wash in Keizer and cleaned it. It looks good now. We’ll try to clean it up once in awhile.

We got the $8 option.

We called brother John and asked if he wanted us to get dinner. He said no so we just went to Shari’s, in Keizer, and had dinner. Michael had a steak salad and I had a vegetable quiche and salad. We both had peach pie. Delicious. We especially liked the waitress. We’ve had her before and she is always friendly and on it.
