Prunedale, California – 7/22/2014

July 22, 2014 (Tuesday)

Edie has taken yet another day off.  There seems to be a pattern forming here… I’ve been tricked this way before.  I was up early and off to the dentist.  I had an appointment with a cavitron.  Deep cleaning was the order of the day and Maria was so thoughtful and gentle given the task she actually performed on my mouth.

I have had the periodontal surgery twice and sure don’t want that again.  I got to see our Dr Moran.  She is an excellent dentist and takes best care of our family needs.   That she is so pretty takes some of the edge off of having to see the dentist.

I went home and Edie and I planned out some final details for our trip to Victoria.

We bought the ferry tickets, round trip out of Port Angeles, Washington, $175.00  90 minutes passage.  Then we went to Phil’s Fish Market for lunch and treated Lex to a lunch there too.  We changed lenses on the Canon camera and the very long lens did not lend itself to photo’s at Phil’s. So no pictures of our collective favorite, blackened swordfish.   After lunch we went to the beach on Moss Landing in search of humpback whales.  There is an unusual number of humpbacks in the bay feeding right now.  They have been in the news.  We were originally told by my friend Marilyn in Sacramento on Saturday.  We saw none while on the beach.  Bummer.

No whales....
No whales….

They are out there, just can't see them.

Not here though.

We ran a few more errands after that and came home.  It was a quiet evening and that was our day, hope yours was great.
