JULY 15, 2014 (Tuesday)

Hot again today. We didn’t get moving until around 1:30 PM. We decided to just walk around and check out the casinos and businesses in the area. We didn’t realize it was so hot until we stepped outside. We then changed our plan and made sure we went inside many of the casinos and walked all the way through and then into the next casino. Kept us cool for awhile. We also walked down to the butterfly statue that I love so, near the river. Still beautiful.

This is a really big pistol, one of the biggest we've ever seen. — This is a really big pistol, one of the biggest we’ve ever seen. I guess they are showing us what protects the coins and gold in the store.

The AC was flowing out the door and the dog was enjoying the cool.

Their rules are the opposite of Las Vegas rules.

Oddly busy but dead at the same time. Lots of empty tables with employees standing around waiting for someone to lose their money.

We didn't go in to Circus Circus. — We didn’t go in to Circus Circus.

Headed for lunch, I was struck by the architectural cap put on this new building.

Triple digits means lots of folks at the river. The water will at first take your breath away, it is so cool.

We had lunch at a little pizza joint close to our resort, around the corner. Food was very reasonable and good. We each had a slice of pizza, a really fresh salad, and a drink. After lunch we went back to our room for awhile. Michael wanted to do more research on our timeshare sale situation.

Around 7:30 PM, we walked to the church next door to the resort and listened for a little bit to a lovely female chorus that was performing. Very melodic voices blended beautifully in the church. After that we walked across to the river just in time to see the ballet dancers and some singing going on. Fun.

Personally, I'd rather watch, "Say yes to the dress." — Personally, I’d rather watch, “Say yes to the dress.” Actually, both are quite painful.

We didn’t stay very long as we were hungry (again) by this time. We walked along the river and around the corner to the taco place.

Michael wanted a burrito. We were disappointed it was closed so went over to The Chocolate Bar. After waiting near the door for a minute or two, we left. We decided it was a spendy place and we’d go there another day for happy hour. We then walked next door to the place we had lunch and had a wonderful dinner. Michael had a meatball sandwich and I had a pasta dish in a bread bowl. Very fresh and good.

I brought half of it home, really good though.

We are now back in our room, stuffed and tired. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
