Prunedale to Lodi, California June 18th to June 22, 2014

JUNE 18 to JUNE 22, 2014

We’ve not really done anything too terribly interesting. We finished painting the outside of the mobile (dark brown). It looks really good, almost like a cabin instead of a mobile home.

Michael has been busy weed whacking (never ending). I guess the biggest news is that LEXI GOT A JOB! Yahoo. She’s working long hours and we’re so excited. We’re already making plans to hit the road in October. (Fingers crossed the job lasts and she loves it.)

Michael and I had doctor appointments one day.

Michael wanted to let the doctor know what happened back in January or February in North or South Carolina. He was having a horribly long gout attack and wanted to get a refill on his medication. When he tried calling our doctor in California, he could not get past the receptionist. Was very frustrating. Anyway, Michael and the doctor talked and I don’t think that particular problem will happen again. When we were in Monterey we were quite surprised at all the Porsche’s driving around. Apparently there is some type of Porsche racing event going on.

Lexi and I went to see “Jersey Boys” (the movie). Was good but basically the play only a little more expanded. We enjoyed it and love the Jersey Boys and the music. Had a good day with my girl.

Michael and I left on Saturday morning to go to Lodi to be with friends. We’re going to be company for one while his wife goes hiking with another friend for a week. She does this every year and we were here last year also. A nice change of pace for everyone (I hope). Last night we were treated to the best food in a long time. The restaurant is a tiny little place in Lodi called the “Zin Bistro.” Excellent food, service, wine, conversation, and atmosphere. Looking forward to going to it again soon.

We’re also wanting to go out to Heritage Oak Winery while we’re here.
