Happy birthday Lexi! She’s 22 today. It has gone so fast. Too fast. The whole day was all about Lexi. She had originally said she wanted to go to breakfast at Denny’s, but changed her mind and wanted to go to the local donut store. She drove and got what everyone wanted and then brought it back. When she got back we had her presents out – a Keurig and a hair straightener. She seemed to like them both and didn’t complain at all. (I think she knows better.)

After breakfast, we visited for awhile and then she left to go job hunting and visiting with friends. Michael and I got to work and painted our little hands off. It looks so much better but so much more to go. We got the hallway almost totally finished. Much brighter and cleaner looking.

Around 5:00 PM, Lexi called and was hungry. We made arrangements to go to the local Mexican restaurant – La Tapatia. She had invited her friend, Jennifer. I had never been inside the restaurant and it was really nice. They even have a bar there. Who knew? Anyway, the food was really good and the drinks were even better. Lexi and Jennifer ran into an old school friend of theirs at the bar.

Chips and salsa. Jenn and Edie had the strawberry margarita and Lex had the mango. I had a bud light. Chicken quesadilla appetizer.

Lex got a free ice cream. We each had some, it was a killer Mexican chocolate, very cinnamon flavored and delicious.

Once we were done with dinner, we went over to Safeway to go grocery shopping to make sure Lexi had food while we were gone to Oregon for the week. She picked out some good food, not junk food. Once we were done, Michael and I went into town to go to Home Depot to get a thermostat for the heater.
