We woke up early and went to the “World’s Biggest Garage Sale” at Twin Lakes Church in Aptos. Crazy. So many people and so much stuff. Michael and I looked around for a few minutes and then left.
Cool morning. Great garage sale weather.I don’t know about “World’s Biggest”.No parking at the huge church.Crowds everywhere.
Proceeds went to Second Harvest.They had an automotive section, tool section, furniture section, coffee pot of every description section…etc, etc.
We stopped at a big sale in a mobile home park and ran into a candidate for county supervisor there. His name is Ed Mitchell. We’re going to vote for him as he doesn’t seem to be a total politician and seems to have the needs of us regular folks well in focus.
Pretty woman bargain hunting.Thought this was a hardtop convertible, the owner came out and told me it is just a really fun coupe.Went around the corner and saw a true convertible.Fun old Chevy truck.Grumpy old man with Ed Mitchell, I like this guy, he is in a run off for County Supervisor, District 2, Monterey County.The mobile home park is out in the country.I think this is a eentury cactus, supposed to bloom once every hundred years.
We stopped at a couple of garage sales in Prunedale, found a few bargins and if Michael can’t get the $10.00 Kereug working, then we got burned on one. We were hungry for breakfast and went to one of our favorite restaurants, Sarita’s.
Chips, salsa and coffee.I must ask Lex how you get the beer out of the glass.I had the breakfast burrito, couldn’t eat it all.Edie had the logger’s breakfast, she ate about a fourth.
The rest of the day was spent cleaning the studio and doing laundry. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
