Happy Mother’s Day!

Warm but very windy today. I’m thinking we need masks because of all the dust and allergens. Heard from both kids pretty early (for them). Then the usual – tea, breakfast, computer, lazy morning. Did some laundry and found out the washing machine leaks a little on the tile floor.

We left our home around noon and went to Fry’s Electronics.

We were hoping they had a plug-in available for the Prius, no luck. We did get a shoulder harness for my big Canon camera. We much prefer the quality of the pictures from it, but will still have the little Canon as a backup. After Fry’s we went to Outback Steakhouse for Mother’s Day linner. We both had an excellent meal – wonderful warm bread, mushroom appetizer, salad, steak and potato, then for dessert we had a carrot cake (but had to have it to go as we were so full). We also had a glass of moscato. Everything was great! Just hoping the steak doesn’t cause Michael’s gout to flare up.

Great $4 appetizer, lightly breaded mushrooms with a zesty ranch dip. Delicious.

Excellent salad, almost as fresh as if we were home.

A 5 ounce filet with a baked potato, excellent all.

Michael has been emailing back and forth with a ticket discounter. We’re hoping to get tickets to the cirque du soilel show “O.” Hate paying the full amount if we can help it.

We were thinking we would go to Silverton Casino but we were both so full, we just went back home and layed around. We had our usual Sunday night date night, but without PBS. We watched “The Good Wife” together instead.

In the lobby of our tower, Edie pauses and heaves a sigh each time she passes.
