Moss Landing, California 5/6/2014
MAY 6, 2014 (Tuesday)
Lazy day. Michael got up and went to the store early. I think he just wanted to drive his new car. At around 1:00 PM, we drove 2 miles over to Moss Landing and had lunch at the Sea Harvest Restaurant. We have never eaten there before. It was nice but we still prefer Phil’s Fish Market. Sea Harvest Restaurant has a little fish market too, and it’s not as busy as Phil’s, the view is better at Sea Harvest, but we just prefer Phil’s flavor.
After lunch, we walked down the boardwalk to see the sea otters and sea lions. The whole pier is filled and overflowing with hundreds of these creatures. Quite remarkable (and stinky). There were also many more of these creatures looking for a place to “land” and were swimming around.
We stopped by Auto Zone to get little mirrors for our new Prius, but they didn’t have them. We also tried CVS (no luck), and finally found them at the little Prunedale Auto place. They’re square but will work and are cute.
Got back and Lexi was home from searching for a job. She’s getting so discouraged but is trying hard. We both worked on the studio as our guests had left around 11:00 AM to head down to Los Angeles. We then went out to the car and I showed her some more of the fun futuristic features. She said she really likes it and wanted to drive it out to her friend’s house. We, of course, said “no!”
Not sure what we’re going to do for dinner but that was our day. Hope yours was great!
