APRIL 29, 2014 (Tuesday)

Another beautiful day. We had to get up early and head to Scotts Valley. Michael had put in an offer for a beautiful old antique buffet type thing. The lady called last night and said if we could be there by 10:00 AM, we could have it for $150.00. It’s a beautiful really old honey oak cabinet, mirror, shelves, etc. Gorgeous. We got there right at 10:00 AM and enjoyed visiting with the woman. She said she had it for thirty years and bought it at an antique store.

We left and got back to Prunedale and just vegged for awhile. We made some veggies and dip, which was really good. The rest of the afternoon was spent oiling up the cabinet. It looks beautiful now. Just needed a good drink of Old English.

It cleaned up nicely. Edie will oil it every two weeks for awhile and it will be in good shape.

Around 2:30 PM, we left and headed to Monterey. We had appointments with Dr. Lee, the Dermatologist. We got there a little early so we took a little walk down to the park where the scuba divers like to go (San Carlos Beach).  Beautiful day near the ocean.

When we got in to see Dr. Lee, Michael was making so many funny faces as the good doctor sprayed him with his liquid nitrogen gun. When it was my turn, Michael said why aren’t you shooting her with your gun and he said I didn’t need it. He did, however, remove two small black moles from me and told Michael that was the equivalent of being shot fifty times with the gun. Michael still insisted he shoot me. Too funny.

When we left, we decided to go back to Kulu Ranch and try their 2fer Tuesday again. It was so good last week. When we arrived the 2fer Tuesday deal was a top sirloin. We asked about the filet mignon and they said it was another special. Must have been a mistake last week, but in a good way. The top sirloin was good but not as good as last week. Michael and I also had a drink, which we both felt we deserved after the doctor visit.

Tried to explain why a Tesla would not be practical because you need charging stations and we really couldn't travel cross country in it yet.
