APRIL 1, 2014 (Tuesday)

More blue skies but it’s still windy and a little cooler.

I got up and around 10:40 AM walked across the street to the South Point Casino to go to the movies by myself. Tuesday is $5.00 movie all day and I’ve been wanting to see Non-Stop. It was pretty good. I was surprised to see Lady Mary from Downton Abby in the film. I enjoyed it.

I walked back to our home after the movie and we got moving. We drove down to the strip and parked at Treasure Island. We went across the walkway and down the escalator to get our vouchers turned into tickets for tomorrow night’s Mystere show. We had hoped to get them changed to the 7:00 PM show – but no luck. Have to stay up late and go to the 9:30 PM show. I hope we can d Path o it. We’ll see. We’re old and like to go to bed early.

We walked around Treasure Island a little bit and discovered Grand View has a big booth set up with “body snatchers” getting people to sign up. We were told we could go back for another tour if we wanted. We declined. We can’t believe how much money the Grand View is pumping out to get people in for tours (and hopefully to buy).

We wanted to go visit with Jim and Anna one last time. They’re going to the Donny and Marie show tonight but they invited us to come by their suite at The Signature to visit for a little bit. We got there and it was lovely. They had a balcony and it was almost like a studio apartment. Lovely. Down in the lobby they had a machine where you can post your picture straight onto facebook. Cool.

Once we left there we drove straight to the South Point Casino. Lexi wanted sushi for dinner so we went to Zenshin. They have specials from 2-6 PM, and they were pretty good. Lexi ordered several different kinds of sushi and some hot saki. Michael got a cucumber salad, and I got a sushi called crunchy. Everything was good and their presentation was lovely. Would recommend the place. Also, the rodeo is in town and there were so many cowboys eating sushi. Kinda funny to hear the spurs clanging in a Japanese restaurant.

After dinner we gambled for a little bit (we all lost), went over to the deli to get a little dessert (actually quite huge desserts at the Del Mar Deli), and get some more free drinks (fireball and coke) for Lexi with the coupons we had left at one of their bars. As we were walking back to our home, we said we were feeling bad that she doesn’t have anyone her age to hang out with in Las Vegas.

We are now safely back in our home and are looking forward to a partially lazy day tomorrow. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
