Parrot Mountain, Gatlinburg, Tennessee 3/11/2014
MARCH 11, 2014 (Tuesday)
Still sunny skies. Got up to 70 today. Beautiful!
We left around 11:00 AM and went to Parrot Mountain. It was about ten miles from home. It cost almost $20.00 a person, but we had won a free ticket so it brought the cost down. Parrot Mountain is lovely. It’s very bible/Christian oriented and has a prayer area, a picnic area, beautiful verses and lovely areas to sit and meditate. The birds were so lovely – all colors, shapes, sizes, dispositions. We really enjoyed seeing and interacting with them , especially when we bought food and hand fed them.
)
We left and went to Cheddars for lunch. We’ve eaten at a Cheddars in Fort Smith, Arkansas before and enjoyed it. We each had the lunch special – salad, soup, and sandwich (or a baked potato). Lexi also had an alcoholic drink. Lunch was really good and Cheddars is a nice relaxing restaurant. While we were driving “home,” we stopped again at the buy one pair of boots and get two free. Can see why they can do that as the boots were really expensive.
We got back home in time to take the 4:00 PM taking better pictures class at our resort. We learned quite a few new things and we were glad we took it. We plan on taking a tour with them on Thursday.
We are now sitting here deciding what we want for dinner. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
