Knoxville, Tennessee 3/8/2014
MARCH 8, 2014 (Saturday)
Beautiful bright, warm day. We woke to sunshine and it stayed around all day. Felt wonderful.
Didn’t really do anything. Lazed around until it was time to go to our timeshare presentation at 2:00 PM. We all walked down to the building, very close, signed in and waited for a few minutes for the salesman to arrive. He came down, introduced himself, took us upstairs, and then showed us a few things on the computer. We were out of there within an hour. Nice.
After the presentation we got in the car and went to Knoxville.
On the drive we stopped for dinner at a Mexican restaurant called Pelanchos. Very good food and a beautiful interior.
We were going to Knoxville to look for a Bank of America. When we got to the Bank of America, they didn’t have an ATM machine so we found another one and Michael took care of his errand. We drove around a little and saw the Blount Mansion (being redone so it’s closed), part of the beautiful campus of the University of Tennessee, and some lovely areas in Knoxville.
We drove home and stopped at the “World’s Largest As Seen on TV” store. What a disappointment. The neatest thing they had in there were the painted hermit crabs.
After that we went across the street to another store and then headed home. Our ride home took over an hour because the traffic from Sevierville to Gatlinburg was bumper to bumper. Miserable. I hope it clears up on Monday when people leave to go back to work.
We are now back home. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
