Massanutten, Virginia 3/1/2014
MARCH 1, 2014 (Saturday)
Tried to sleep in but the blinds they have in our new “home” let lots of light in so it was hard to sleep. They’re nice blinds (not the cheap mini-blind kind), but have little holes that show the light.
Anyway, we got up and got moving around 8:30 AM. Our appointment for the timeshare presentation was 12:30 PM. We sat around (with the booklet they give you at check-in) and looked at the many activities they have to offer here at Massanutten. We decided what we really wanted to do and when we wanted to do them. We also filled out the sheet that helps you keep track of what and when. It’s very helpful to have when there are so many things going on.
We got to our presentation a little early because we weren’t sure where we were going. We were greeted by a very nice young man, Sean, who worked here before, left to Gatlinburg for awhile, then came back here. Very polite and funny. We talked for a little bit, then he took us to a lunch buffet that overlooks the waterpark. So fun to look through the windows at lunch and see all the different activities and things going on. Loved the lazy river but it was tube to tube (like bumper to bumper). Lunch was good – not great – good. Not a huge selection but a nice selection.
After lunch we toured many more things here at Massanutten – we saw four units, 2 two bedroom units, and 2 one bedroom units; we saw Le Club (with all the rooms for jewelry making, tie dying, yoga, basketball, ice skating, on and on); we drove up to the lookout (beautiful); and much more I can’t remember (brain overload). We were with Sean for about four hours. Have to admit this is a great resort with over 160 activities. Also, it has really low maintenance fees. If we could get rid of our Stardust Tahoe maintenance fee (and had some spare money), we’d get it. Nice place.
We are now back in our “home.” Lexi is doing laundry and I am waiting for the machine to do ours. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
