Atlantic City, New Jersey 2/26/2014

FEBRUARY 26, 2014 (Wednesday)

Woke up and the ground was covered in snow. Was feeling bad for New York City and Philadelphia (and all the homeless). Also, snow flurries a couple of times and then it was blue skies.

Some snow.

Not really that much snow on the ground.

Michael woke up and his gout is acting up. Sure wish we could figure it out. He eats so very little meat of any kind.  No more alcohol.  He was in a lot of discomfort. Wish there was something I could do to help. Hope he’s better soon and doesn’t have to suffer for weeks like his last gout attack.

Lexi and I left around 2:30 PM to go to another Old Navy. (She wanted to go back to the one near Philadelphia but the tolls would have cost almost as much as the shoes.) We drove around for quite awhile around the Tanger Outlets before we could find parking. It cost $10.00 but we were told if we ate at Applebee’s and had the parking ticket validated, I would get my $10.00 back. While driving around we saw the Atlantic City Convention Center where they used to hold the Miss Universe and Miss USA pagents.

We looked for Old Navy. There were some shoes we wanted to get her. (There’s no sales tax in New Jersey on clothing so we figured we should do it now.) While at the outlets we also went into several other stores – American Eagle, H&M, Nine West and Wet Seal. There was one store that had the weirdest shoes and clothes I had ever seen.  Had fun with Lexi. She’s looking at a more business like wardrobe for going back to work. After all our shopping, we had dinner at Applebee’s. Lexi got three appetizers (chicken wings and mozzarella sticks), and I got a chicken fiesta salad. I also got a house margarita (special for $3.00). The server validated our parking ticket so we got back our $10.00.

Pretty church.

We got back “home” to Michael. Lexi made him some veggies for dinner. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
