Mike here, a day off for Edie.  A lost day full of doctors and nurses.  Nothing big but my gout just will not go away and Edie has a bright red devil eye that is scaring us all, combined with what looks like a rug burn on her forehead.  We went to breakfast with Lex at a Denny’s.

Like two blocks from our place.

Edie had the $4 build your own and coffee.

We dropped Lex off at the resort and headed to the nearest urgent care.

Less than two miles away.

When we pulled up we saw an ambulance that had arrived code 3 (lights and sirens) to pick someone up.  God bless the person with urgent needs greater than urgent!

Outside the front door, we figured there's be an opening in the line.

The doctors were all women, really nice.  They took great care of us.  They gave me pain management, steroids and chochicine to knock the fire out of my gout.  Edie, ever the complicated one, was diagnosed as having shingles across her forehead, scalp and in her left eye.  Good grief, the stress of permanently vacationing with her daughter and husband!  Then off to the eye clinic to be safe, sure and risk averse that nothing was overlooked.  Day gone.

We each had a bowl. Good fast food.

That was our day, we are home, full and medicated with the joy of professional evaluation and treatment.  Hope your day was great.
