Atlantic Beach, North Carolina to Williamsburg, Virginia 2/8/2014
FEBRUARY 8, 2014 (Saturday)
Rained and then rained some more.
Today was moving day. Hate moving days cause we don’t sleep well, have to get up earlier than we like, and have to lug everything down. But we’re excited to see our new “home” in Williamsburg.
We left around 9:45 AM and drove to the local Subway for breakfast. Lexi’s new friend, John, gave Lex a ride there so he could say goodbye. Nice young man. A Marine from California. He also plays the guitar very well. We all had breakfast and chatted for awhile and left around 11:00 AM.
The drive to Williamsburg was a little over four hours (approximately 250 miles). We stopped for gas once ($3.36 a gallon), and lunch at a Hardee’s (Carl Jr.’s in California). We got into Williamsburg around 4:00 PM and checked in at the Wyndham Patriot’s Place. Was grateful the rain had stopped by the time we got here as we had to go up a short flight of stairs to get into our unit.
We got to our unit and it’s lovely. Lexi is in her own little studio apartment. Very cute with a little stove/oven/microwave/refrigerator. Lovely. Our unit has a fireplace, huge bedroom, lovely bathroom, dining area, and a nicely stocked kitchen. Also, it has a WASHER and DRYER. Love it. I’ve already done three loads that we’ve been needing to do.
That was our day. Hope yours was great!
