FEBRUARY 6, 2014 (Thursday)

Still a little grey, still cold – but no rain. That’s progress, I think.

Michael’s foot is still hurting. Not as much but he’s going to take another day off. We’re still hopeful we can get to the aquarium tomorrow.

I left to do a drive to the end of the island. I ended up going across the bridge to the mainland, but turned around and went back over the bridge. Went to the very end of the island, near a Coast Guard station. There were a lot of vacation homes like in Kitty Hawk, the ones on stilts. There were also quite a few mobile home parks. Don’t know why but it surprised me there were so many mobile homes here in a hurricane area.

I drove by the aquarium and it looks lovely. Looking forward to seeing it (hopefully). It had a beautiful fountain in front that was fun. Along with the aquarium, they had a wildlife viewing area. Nice place.

I stopped by the local Chinese food place, very close to our “home.” I got some house fried rice, lemon chicken, and won ton soup. We are now all full and watching television.

That was our day. Hope yours was great!
