Urgent Care, Morehead City, North Carolina 2/4/2014

FEBRUARY 4, 2014 (Tuesday)

Still overcast when we woke up. Another cold and grey day. Guess it’s really winter here.

Not as foggy, but just as wintry.

Michael got up earlier than usual. He wanted to get to the Urgent Care early enough to get some medication for his gout. It has been bothering him a lot. Sure hope this helps. Want him to walk without pain. I decided to go with him. It was all about the wait. The wait at the doctor’s office was over two hours, and then the wait at Walmart was over an hour. Michael finally left Walmart without the medication after over an hour. We’re hoping we can pick it up when we go back tomorrow.

Long wait, how can they say my pain isn't an emergency?

Read everything on the wall twice. Liked: "The ocean is a natural force and will not slow down or stop for you."

We started home and decided to go to BoJangles for dinner. We’ve never been to one before. The menu looked like KFC but the BoJangles chicken is much spicier. I liked it. Very good. I especially liked the biscuits. They seemed like they were home made. Heavier than the ones we would get at KFC.

Took the BoJangles home for dinner. Put some Voltaren on Michael’s toe. Ate. Now it’s about TV and bed.

Mike here: Gout is brutal. Bed sheet hurts, walking is just pain. I feel like I am being stalked by a Seahawks defensive corner! It is messing with me and I want it to stop. Going to try the medicine that lowers uric acid. Considering amputation if that doesn’t work!

That was our day. Hope yours was great!
