JANUARY 28, 2014 (Tuesday)

Woke up to cold. Didn’t think our heater was working so we called down and the maintenance man came within ten minutes. It was operator error and it seems fine now. The temperature is dropping though, and just going to get colder until tomorrow night. Heard on the news that the ice storm is very close to Myrtle Beach.

Really didn’t do anything today except laundry. Michael and Lexi ventured out to get some lunch at a place they went to for drinks the other night. The guy (from the other night) sold them on coming back for lunch. They brought the lunch back and it was good but way too much food. Turned out to be lunch and dinner for all of us.

After texting back and forth with our Canadian friends Jan and Caron, we decided to cancel our dinner plans for tonight and just hunker down and stay warm and dry. We plan on (hopefully) seeing them on Thursday, after the storm passes.

Mike and Lex ventured out to the workout room in the early evening, it was 30 degrees when they came back.

That was our boring day. Oh – I did see a bunch of geese outside. That’s exciting for me.
