The Hobbit, Merritt Island, Florida 12/28/2013

DECEMBER 28, 2013 (Saturday)

Another lazy day. Still raining, grey outside, and a little colder. Lexi was in bed with a headache and didn’t want to do anything. Michael and I decided to go back to the movie theater on Merritt Island and see “The Hobbit.” Michael had been wanting to see it and it was playing today at noon on IMAX. The cost was a little more (about $11.50 per person).

We left around 11:15 AM and got to the theater in plenty of time to get seats. This time the theater was not at all crowded and we were able to get our favorite spots near the top center. The movie was long (about 3 hours) and left you hanging at the end. I wanted closure. I told Michael when the next one comes out, he can go by himself. I figure it will probably be like Rocky and just continue on until it can’t any more.

Edie liked the wreath on the front of the fire truck.

When we were walking up the steps to our “home,” we saw the biggest leaf bug we had ever seen. Lovely. Right outside our door on the roof overhang.

When we walked in, Lexi was feeling better and wanted to go to the store. She and Michael left to get some chili for dinner. Just sounds good with the rain and cool weather.
