Magic Kingdom, Orlando, Florida 12/6/2013

DECEMBER 6,  2013 (Friday)

Disney World again!  Today was Lexi’s and my day together.  Michael stayed home and worked on the blog and did other guy type things and honey-do’s.

Lexi and I caught the 8:45 AM shuttle and took the it to Epcot Center.  From Epcot Center, we took the monorail to Magic Kingdom.  We quickly got into Magic Kingdom.  It seemed to be very crowded, much more so than yesterday at Epcot.  Bumper to bumper people.  They were filming something for Christmas down by the castle and we were invited to attend.  We were told the band The Wanted were performing and being filmed for a Christmas special. We watched for a few minutes but then got on our way.

We headed to Frontierland and walked past the Swiss Family Treehouse, the Jungle Cruise, and then went in and rode on the Pirates of the Caribbean.  We’ve always loved that ride.  There was no wait and we got right on.  Next was Splash Mountain.  Again, no real wait, which was nice.

I wanted to go on the Haunted Mansion, so Lexi was a good sport and we trekked over to Liberty Square.  They had the perfect man greeting you in the lobby.  He was really creepy and quiet. Next, off to Fantasyland.  I really wanted to go to It’s a Small World but it was closed.  Broke my heart.  Love that ride.  We used a fast pass and rode on Peter Pan’s flight.  That’s another one I love. Wanted to do the Mad Tea Party cups but didn’t want to wait and didn’t want to use up a fast pass.  We did get on The Barnstormer. It was not really worth the wait as the ride was only like thirty seconds.

Next stop, Tomorrowland and Space Mountain.  Used another fast pass here as the wait time was an hour.  Felt kinda bad passing everyone in line (not really) but wish I could have given them all a fast pass. Loved Space Mountain but lost my beloved 7 eyes sunglasses on the ride.  Had them on when they took the picture.  We were told to check in with City Hall.

Wanted to get this but it was way too hot today (80's).

We were hungry and went looking for food.  We circled around near the castle again and noticed they were still filming with the group The Wanted.  It was really crowded and nothing available that we saw so we headed to the Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant.  Huge portions of food.  We should have split one sandwich as we ended up getting a box to go.

Lexi and I were getting pretty tired (and I developed a rather large blister) so we decided to head to City Hall and ask about my sunglasses.  They directed us to lost and found.  We had to take the monorail to the transportation center and then head left.  It’s a smaller building with a really nice man inside.  Was fun watching as people came in to see if someone had turned in their item.  Was surprised at how many people left happy, even one man from Brazil who lost his wallet with quite a bit of money in it.  Wallet and money were found.  They didn’t have my glasses yet, but gonna check again tomorrow when I drop off Lexi and Michael.

Beautiful Lexi.

While we were at lost and found, we called Michael to pick us up there. When you go to lost and found you don’t need to pay $15.00 for parking, as long as that’s the only place you go.  He got lost (how appropriate) but finally was able to get us poor tired girls and take us home.

That was our day.  Hope yours was great!
