Seaglass Tower Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 11/26/2013
NOVEMBER 26, 2013 (Tuesday)
Woke up to wind and rain, lots of rain and lots of wind.
Lazed around and then walked across the street for brunch. Lexi and Michael were hungry now and didn’t want to try a new place, plus Olympic Flame gives a 10% discount. Brunch was good.
After brunch we went to a time share presentation in Surfside Beach. On our way we stopped for gas ($3.19 a gallon). After we had registered at the timeshare presentation, a really nice man named Benedict talked with us for a very short time and realized there was nothing he could do or offer us that we could use. We were in and out within an hour. People were very nice and it’s a lovely place that trades with RCI.
While we were getting our “gifts,” a nice young woman told us about The Market Common. She said it was a nice place and they have movie theaters there, along with nice restaurants and shops. We had wanted to go see The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, so we drove to the shopping center and were able to get tickets for the next showing within ten minutes. Luck. The show was really good but the ending left you wondering. I guess that’s what it was supposed to do but I like closure and knowing what happened. I guess we’ll have to wait for another year to figure out what happened.
After the movie we stopped at Red Robin for dinner. Lexi had a salad and chicken, Michael had a chili burger, and I had a milk shake. I’m gonna finish off my brunch meal.
That was our day. We are now sitting in our “home” on the 7th floor of an all glass building that is under a tornado watch. Exciting times. Michael has scoped out the stairwell in case a tornado does roll through and we are to head that way and work our way down. Hope your day was great!
