Seaglass Tower Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 11/25/2013
NOVEMBER 25, 2013 (Monday)
Still cold but some sun so that’s a good thing.
We got moving and left around noon to get to our timeshare presentation at 12:30 PM. It was in a strip mall about ten miles down the highway. After about an hour of talking they took us out to their resort and showed us their 3 bedroom. It was beautiful, right on the beach, nice indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs. Quite lovely but way too much for our blood. Can’t justify spending almost ten thousand dollars for a week every other year. We got our goodies (they gave us checks in the amount of the tickets to Pirates Voyage) and left.
We went to a Burger King close by and had lunch. We kinda thought we had been told there was lunch included with the timeshare tour but they didn’t so….we were hungry and it was almost 3:00 PM and that was the closest place. Also, while we were eating we called and made reservations for the Pirates Voyage for tonight.
We headed back to our resort and went to the bathroom and rested for awhile. We then headed to the Pirates Voyage for the pre-show at 5:00 PM. What fun, especially for kids. They had songs, juggling, a sea lion, sword fighting, just fun. The show started around 6:00 PM. Was really surprised at how much we were all enjoying it. It was geared towards the young ones but it had something for everyone.
It was their Christmas show and they had birds, sea lions, donkeys, camels, dogs, gymnastics, diving, cannons, angels – you name it. Was fast paced and fun. It was geared like a Scrooge production. During all the activities going on we were served dinner – and lots of it. There were drinks, vegetable soup, bread, chicken, potato, corn on the cobb, pulled pork, and for dessert there was a delicious apple turnover. After dinner they bring around a hot towel for our hands. Lovely evening.
We are now back in our “home.” We are stuffed and enjoying the memories of the evening. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
