Seaglass Tower Resort, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina 11/23/2013
NOVEMBER 23, 2013 (Saturday)
Woke up around 8:30 AM. It’s raining and grey outside. A cold front is moving in after the rain stops this afternoon.
Around noon we decided to be brave and venture out. We walked down the stairs and across the street. We had breakfast at Olympic Flame Pancake House. Michael and Lexi had the Olympian club sandwich, I had a waffle with peaches. Everything was plentiful and very good. We got ten percent off the check when we showed our room key at the cash register. The restaurant is only open until around 1:00 PM.
After we ate we just walked around for awhile. Most of the places here have the same stuff. Was surprised at the bongs, knives, and tasers you can buy. All shapes, sizes, and colors. We walked into one place to look at the local shows and got talked into a timeshare presentation. We told the guy, Maxie, we were absolutely not going to buy and he said that was okay. Anyway, we go tomorrow and we’ll get three tickets to the Pirate Voyage for $20.00 (normally $50 each). We also get a photo and a hotel stay.
After that we walked across the street to the boardwalk area. It is very lovely. They’re getting it all decorated for Christmas with all the lights and bows. Very nice. There are so many palm trees here, we feel we’re in Florida already (except the grey and rain). The boardwalk goes for quite a ways down but we stopped at our “home” to go inside.
We are now watching “Pirates of the Caribbean.” We’re hoping Johnny Depp shows up when we go see the Pirate Voyage show. Michael made a yummy dinner. That was our day. Hope yours was great!
