NOVEMBER 2, 2013 (Saturday)
The bed is really soft, almost like the one we left in Prunedale. We all slept in until almost 10:00 AM. When we did get up, I fixed Michael eggs, sausage and orange juice. Lexi only wanted the sausage. She made some eggs and bacon later on.
Around 12:00 PM, Lexi talked me into going to the local humane society, right down the road. They seem to treat the dogs well and they had a bunch of puppies. We got our animal fix in for awhile. Was nice seeing and smelling the animals. When we left it was raining. Looks like it will be overcast most of the day.
Michael spent all morning working. He worked on the blog, on the bills, and other little things he wanted to catch up on. When he was done working, we went to the Rec Center, about two miles down the road. It’s quite nice and has a ton to do. There was an indoor arcade where Lexi and I tried doing the dance, dance revolution thing. We both were awful at it. They have an indoor pool and spa, a nice locker room, ping pong, pool, a tanning bed area, a game area, a computer area, a mini golf area outside. Lots to do if you want.
They also have where you pay inside for a bucket of gems and then you go outside to a special mining area to dig for the gems. Was fun and we found a bunch of gems. Not quite sure what they are as the paper that was given to us doesn’t look much like any of the gems we found. We’ll figure it out I’m sure. Was fun though.
Lexi has gone to the store to get some wine and some apple sauce. I’m making pork chops, beans, apple sauce for dinner – with the wine, of course.
That was our day. Hope yours was grand!
