Mariner’s Pointe Resort – Crossville, Tennessee 10/26/2013

OCTOBER 26, 2013 (Saturday)

Slept in. When we got up we got to see (front and back) how lovely the lake is and how we are surrounded by it. Beautiful.

Michael and I went to breakfast at the local Cracker Barrel (we aren’t sick of it yet). They have a wonderful low fat breakfast – scrambled eggs, turkey bacon, yogurt and granola. Yummy. Michael and I each got that and hot tea. We also got one to go for Lex who opted to stay at the resort.

We drove around the town of Crossville. It’s quite old and quite lovely. They were having an old car thing going on where they blocked off the main drag for awhile. Also, in the downtown park, along with the cars, was a craft fair of local people. Nice.

We got back to our “home” and talked about what we wanted to do while here. We know we are going to go to the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday evening, and got the tickets for it. We plan on going into Nashville early on Tuesday and do some sightseeing before the show. It’s about a two hour drive to Nashville from here.

Around 4:00 PM, we drove around Crossville again. It was getting cold and most of the cars and crafts were gone from downtown, even though the car show was supposed to end at 5:00 PM. We went to Walmart (Michael finally had to break down a get another computer for the blog) but we need to check back tomorrow or the next day. Hope his old computer doesn’t decide to die before we get his new one. We then went to a little Mexican restaurant near Walmart called La Costa. It was quite good.

We are now stuffed and back in our “home.” Hope your day was wonderful!
