Silverleaf Holiday Hills – Branson, Missouri 10/23/2013

OCTOBER 23, 2013 (Wednesday)

Was cold again last night. Heater went off and on all night long. So cold, Michael and I decided to sleep in and have a very lazy morning/afternoon. When we finally did get up, I did some laundry and then took a long bath in the huge jacuzzi tub.

Michael cooked up some mushrooms and we had a twice baked potato for lunch. After lunch Michael worked on the head light for the Prius. We think it’s finally fixed. Yahoo! The only bad thing we have to say about the Prius is the fact it goes through so many headlights and they’re so darn expensive. Anyway, we’ll find out tonight if it’s fixed or not.

At around 2:00 PM, we headed for the activity center to read and check our mail. Amy (my zip line friend from yesterday) had emailed Michael and said she had sent the pictures. She wanted to know if we have received them. Michael is downloading them but it’s taking so long and he’s getting frustrated. We both dislike not having internet in our room but we’ll deal with it. I suspect it will get worse at some spots back East. We’ll see.  (We did receive the pictures.  Fun.)

We left our “home” around 5:00 PM and headed to the strip. Lexi and I raced go carts. The first go cart we raced reached about 30 MPH, the second; 40 MPH. I must say I smoked her and left her in the dust, even after I spun out twice on the same turn. She says I scared her so she was staying out of my way. Whatever works is my motto.

After that we went to the Olive Garden to use up more of our gift cards for dinner before the show. The place was packed and service was very slow so we opted to sit and eat in the bar. We also each got a drink. Food was good but it took forever to get it, and we had to remind them to bring my drink.

We left and got to the show about ten minutes early. The show was good, not great, but good. Really enjoyed meeting the cast after the show in the lobby. What fun they were. They did a good job. The place was packed and everyone seemed to really enjoy it. We felt they did a fair bit of lip syncing.

We got back “home” at around 10:30 PM. That was our day. Hope yours was wonderful!
