Crown Point Resort – Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas 10/16/2013

OCTOBER 16, 2013 (Wednesday)

Another lazy morning in the Ozark Mountains. Woke up to a beautiful day. The horrible rain and storm had passed and left blue skies.

Nice sunny day.

Around 1:30 PM, Michael and I left for a “meeting” with Brad, who would answer questions. Really a sales pitch to buy points or something. Anyway, we got there and after about fifteen minutes Brad decided we knew the RCI system pretty well and he wasn’t going to show us anything new so he let us go, but we still got our $50.00 gift certificates for the restaurant.

Brad was a very nice fellow that did a very low pressure sales effort.

When we got back to our “home,” we all piled into the Prius and went for a ride. The first stop was the grocery store to buy Lexi some special milk. Then we just went for a leisurely drive. It was beautiful, around the lake, up and down hills, expansive views – just lovely. We also got to see some bones of an armadillo, and a live little red fox. So fun.

We were struck, it is a Nissan. And we are in Izard county.

After we got back from the drive, we went to dinner at Papa Dick’s. Was nice because we knew it was mostly paid for by the resort. Lexi got a calzone, Michael got a pizza, and I got a BLT. All were good, plus we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow – even better.

My Bud Light.

Lex's drink. Also the reason that we have no pictures of the food we bought and ate.

Lexi and Michael are now playing chess. I am in my PJ’s and getting ready to go watch TV. That was our day. Hope yours was wonderful!
