Lake Tour, Worldmark Arrowpoint, Harrison, Idaho 9/27/2013
SEPTEMBER 27, 2013 (Friday)
Overcast and cold day.
Larry, Renee, Michael, Lexi and I talked about going on a tour of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Michael tried to call and get reservations but they said just show up, that the cruise left at 12:30 PM and we could get tickets there. We left Worldmark at approximately 11:00 AM. Larry and Renee were in their car, and Lexi, Michael and I were in our Prius. Stacey was going to meet us at the Coeur d’Alene Resort at around noon.
We got to the resort parking area around 11:45 AM. Stacey was lost so Michael went up to the road to flag her down. We paid for ours and Stacey’s parking, $2.00 for two hours each. Stacey arrived around noon. Michael got our tickets (around $20.00 for seniors, and Lexi was approximately $22.00). The boat was called the Mish n Noc. We started out outside but it was so cold, everyone came inside to enjoy the tour. The tour was approximately 1-1/2 hours and gave us some good information. We got to see the floating golf course, the beautiful homes, and much more. Fun. Would have been so much nicer on a sunny day, however.
After the tour, Lexi and I left in the Prius, Larry, Renee and Michael left in their car, and Stacey left in hers. Larry, Renee and Michael were going to go to Costco and Safeway, Stacey was going home, and Lexi and I were going to the Stoneridge Resort in Blanchard, Idaho to check in. Lexi wanted to have some “alone time” at the resort and we would pick her up on Saturday. On the way to Stoneridge Resort, approximately 30 miles from Coeur d’Alene, we stopped in Rathdrum at the sandwich place to get something for Lexi to eat while she was there.
We got to the resort around 4 PM. Check in was quick and easy. The lady who checked us in was very friendly and said she really enjoyed her job. This resort has lots and lots of activities going on all week. They also have a miniature golf course that is just darling. Their pool is indoors and it’s a salt pool, which is nice. They have an indoor basketball court, racquetball court, volleyball, ping pong, hot tub, pool, library, movie area, and so much more. Will be fun exploring it during the week and doing some of the activities. Also, they have water aerobics. Yahoo. Getting back into exercise after eating all week will be nice.
I drove back to Worldmark by myself. It’s just a little over an hour from Blanchard. When I got there, Larry and Renee were getting dinner ready. Larry was making steaks on the electric grill, along with portabello mushrooms. Wonderful dinner, wonderful friends.
That was our day. Hope yours was wonderful!
