Sun Valley Gun Club 9/19/2013
SEPTEMBER 19, 2013 (Thursday)
Today was laundry day. It went real slow because the laundry room across the way only has one washer and one dryer ($1.75 per load), and we had two loads so it was about a two hour process of going back and forth.
Michael called and made an appointment for Lexi and I to go trap shooting at 3:00 PM. We left and went to the Tamarack Lodge for about an hour to work on the blog. Tara was working, so sweet and fun.
We left the lodge around 2:45 PM to head to the Sun Valley Gun Club. At the Sun Valley Gun Club, Brook Trout (yep, that’s his name) gave us a safety briefing and then we shot 25 traps with our shotguns at different angles. I’d like to say I whipped Lexi’s butt, but she shot 12 and I only got 3. She won. It was fun and we want to have a rematch one day. Brook Trout was really friendly and told us some fun places we should check out while in Idaho.
We left the Gun Club and went home to change to go swimming. We thought it might stop any soreness in our shoulders but the shotgun wasn’t that bad. It felt good to be in the hot tub. Michael and Lexi played in the ten foot part of the pool and then joined me in the hot tub.
We got home and Michael started dinner. Lexi and I went to Atkinson’s Market and True Value Hardware. We needed chicken stock for tonight’s dinner, and Lexi “won” some fingernail polish when she beat me. I should never have bet. When will I learn?
Michael is in the kitchen making chicken, salad, vegetables, and rice. That was our day. Hope yours was wonderful!
Safe Travels 🙂
And safe journeys to you and your family too. It was a pleasure meeting you and thank you for your many kindnesses.
