Finest at Sea – Victoria, BC, Canada 8/13/2013

August 13, 2013 Tuesday

Mike here.  Today was a day of nesting, resting and only one trip out to mail a letter.  That became it’s own odyssey.  I googled Canadian Post offices and a nice map popped up.  There was one not too far away.  I left and got to where it should have been and found only a red metal box.  I tried the navigation, but only Toronto Post Offices came up.  I debated driving back and looking on the net again but decided to do the male thing.  I then drove downtown, saw what looked like a Post Office in the U.S. so I parked nearby, paid my parking money and headed for the building to discover it was City Hall.  Must have been all the flags.

I asked a couple of fellows where I could buy a stamp.  They referred me to a 7-11 a couple blocks away.  I bought three stamps there and posted the letter at a box in front of City Hall. Barely a blog-able day.  I then got a really good idea.  Yesterday we ate lunch at Finest at Sea Fish Market.  “I’ll go back and get dinner to go.” I said to myself!  Might even achieve semi-hero status with Edie.

It wasn’t that far away and there is a 3 stall parking lot right in front of the place.  I went there and placed the order.  One 2 piece halibut and one side of fries.  $21.50 CAN

She wrapped it up in butcher paper really well.  It was still hot when I got it home to Edie.  I definitely, briefly achieved hero status.  That was our day.  Hope yours was great.

Edie here – he definitely achieved hero status.  Was even better than yesterday.  We both agree we like this place much better than Red Fish Blue Fish, and we loved Red Fish Blue Fish.
